2 situations
1 – Lower section between the double discs with an oval tube (model from 2023 onwards)
In this case, diffusers are not required
Photos 1
Our trials have shown that the pellets are distributed evenly along the row even without a diffuser, as the pellets are propelled directly into the double disc and shatter on the rough surface of the metal support housing the discs and wheels.
Please note: ensure that the airflow from the microgranulator’s blower is set to 50% so that the microgranules are distributed evenly in the ‘V’ of the furrow.

2 – Down tube between the double chainstays with a 25 mm round tube (pre-2023 model)
The Diffuser is recommended
You need to order the QDC-DXP®D kit
In its insecticide microgranule configuration, the seed drill is fitted with a metal microgranule tube for each seeding unit, onto which the diffuser is attached. These can be purchased as spare parts from your HORSCH dealer.

Remove the gauge wheel from the seed drill unit, along with the opening disc, to access the original micro-granule metal chute.

Fit the 25 mm diameter QDC-DXP diffuser directly onto the downpipe between the two discs. Position the diffuser towards the rear of the sowing unit.
If the support wheel is present, adjust it so that there is no contact or friction.
Refit the disc and wheel assembly.
Adjust the air flow so that the micro-granules are evenly distributed in the ‘V’ of the furrow.
